NEW SHORT STAY VISA PROGRAMME

As of 01 July 2011 nationals from the United Arab Emirates, the State of Kuwait, the State of Qatar and thirteen other countries, who travel to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK) for tourism or business on a valid UK visa will be able to travel on from the UK to Ireland without an Irish visa under the new Short-stay Visa Waiver Scheme.

Travellers will be allowed to stay in Ireland for up to 3 months or until their UK visa runs out, whichever is the shorter.
