Donegal Town Donegal Ireland West

Starting out in Donegal Town, this wonderful route takes you along country lanes to the magnificent Lough Eske. Accommodation is plentiful in the Lough Eske area and the views are breathtaking, too. Take in the wonderful views of the main peaks in the Bluestacks, the Sligo mountains and Donegal Bay, as well as making time to visit an ancient graveyard at Disert. Glenties is next, and September 12th is the Harvest Fair Day - one of the oldest fairs in Ireland. Your route finishes along the tranquil bank of the River Owenea leading to Ardara.
