St Patrick's Day Festival in Newry City

A family fun packed day, there will be so much on offer from live music, street theatre, comedy and street performances of Irish Dancing which will provide an exciting carnival atmosphere not to be missed.

This year's parade departs at 12:00 noon from The Quays Shopping & Leisure Centre (Albert Basin) to continue its route along Buttercrane Quay, Francis Street, Patrick Street, Monaghan Street, Merchants Quay, Sugar Island, Kildare Street, Hill Street and finishing at John Mitchel Place.

Street Entertainment - Margaret Square: Compere Paul Clarke/Newry Community Band. Official address by Mayor John McArdle & Church Leaders. Derek Ryan/The Nooks/Cold Porter/Raglan.

Marcus Square: Belfast Samba Band/ Ceili Time - Raymond Carroll Fear a'Ti.

Other Events Cathedral Quarter, Hill Street: On going Children’s Street Entertainment, Cartoon Characters, Face Painting & Balloon Modelling.

Newry & Mourne Museum, Bagenal’s Castle: Storytelling at the Museum with Fra Gunn 10.30/1.30/3.00pm plus children’s activities.

Sean Hollywood Arts Centre: Traditional music and children’s entertainment. Food served in Courtney’s Restaurant. (Children must be accompanied with an adult).

Newry Variety Market: 9.00am – 5.00pm.
