The Seaweed Workshop on Inis Oírr runs for two days, with arrival the previous evening by ferry or air. Registration and supper at Fisherman's Cottage, at 20.00. Accommodation is at South Aran House, and breakfast on Day 1 is at 09.00 at Fisherman's Cottage. The Workshop commences at 10.00 at South Aran Cottage. The Seaweed Workshop includes an introduction to cooking with seaweed; details of when and how seaweed is harvested; walk along the shore to identify seaweeds. There is a packed lunch to have by the shore. There is time off in the early afternoon to explore the Island. Afternoon session starts at 16.30 - cooking with seaweed. Dinner is at 19.00 followed by Time off for the night. Day 2 starts with breakfast at 09.00, followed by cooking with seaweed. Lunch is at 13.00 with round up of the workshop at 14.30. Free time until departure of ferry. Minimum of four (4) participants. Seaweed Workshops can be scheduled to suit your timetable at other times of the year.
