Australia Day in Cobh

Cobh

07 July 2013

Australia Day in Cobh will celebrate the arrival of over 1000 Australians and 400 Kiwis on a World Cruise aboard the Sea Princess. Experience a taste of 'down under' right here in Cobh with everything from food and musical entertainment to spectacular shop window displays. On the streets the aromas and sizzle of barbecues will tickle the taste buds and local arts and crafts producers will display their colourful goods. Irish dancers and traditional groups will have the Australian visitors and locals alike tapping their feet. The Cobh Confraternity Band will play on the quayside as the liner sails to continue its 104 night odyssey around the World. Will the traditional 'Anchors Aweigh' be replaced by 'Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport' as the Australians are given a traditional Cobh farewell with white handkerchiefs and Australian and Irish flags waving?
