Carlingford National Leprechaun Hunt invites you all to Ireland's last known leprechaun habitat - the Slieve Foy Mountain. It was awarded a Special Protection Area in 2010 for Little People by the EU. This annual hunt takes place alongside the SPA and offers the opportunity to win cash prizes with all specially hidden leprechauns found. It is a fantastic day out for every member of the family! Attendees must hold a prospecting licence to hunt and everyone is encouraged to dress as leprechauns on the day. Prospecting licences may be purchased at €5 and proceeds go to charity. The organiser's request that any real leprechauns possibly seen on the day are left alone and attempts to capture them is strictly prohibited!
