Now in its 9th year, Skerries Soundwaves Festival is organised by the Skerries Community Association. It aims to bring many different music genres and arts forms to beautiful Skerries, for all to enjoy. Events include a fantastic Lego Day for all enthusiasts, workshops, Equinox Celebrations with Fingal Mummers and a variety of concerts from pop/rock to singer/song writer, some in unusual venues. The classical highpoint of the festival is a Music Network concert in beautiful, candlelit Holmpatrick Church. Other highlights include a festival street party with Rock Music trailer, street entertainment and fun for all the family, a street market, Céilí after Sunday Mass, a night parade and spectacular fireworks in Skerries Harbour. Add children's theatre or puppets, dancing, exhibitions, theatre and pop-up events - expect the unexpected! 'Skerries Rocks' - come along and be part of it!
