Kilkenny City

16 May 2013 - 19 May 2013

Events begin at the Pembroke Hotel on May 15th with an unusual tour of Kilkenny City. This is ladies only and will take in the most romantic and mysterious places in Kilkenny combined with true stories of hauntings and witchcraft. Thursday 16th will have the most evocative of dance workshops and performances which includes tango, salsa and swing at the Pembroke Hotel. Friday 17th is a must for all when the Love Guru takes the stage in The Set Theatre, Langtons. This is your chance to learn how to fall in love. This will be followed by match-making 2013 style. Take Me Out will give the ladies a chance to meet the man of their dreams –the format largely following that of the televisions series. On both Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th award winning published romance writers will perform readings of romantic poetry and prose. A medieval feast will take place on Saturday night during which stories of the Earl of Pembroke and his mistress from the 12th century will be told. Everything from dancing at the crossroads and romantic film screenings to courting cars and a love-bus. Kilkenny has it all for romantics and lovers over this weekend of romance.
