GaddinAbtGarnish 2013

Glengarriff

08 June 2013

In 2013 the GaddAbtGarnish is taking place for the third time. It is one of the most stunning and safest island circumnavigation swims in Ireland. Garnish Island is set in a beautiful post glacial landscape in the sheltered clear waters of the northeast corner of Bantry Bay surrounded by the rugged mountains of the Beara Peninsula and teaming with water wildlife. Entries are open to anybody over 12 years of age who has a proven ability of open water swimming at the chosen distance of either 1, 3 or 5 kilometres. The choice of distances makes this fabulous swim attractive to novice and expert swimmers alike. The swim is followed by a meal at the Rainbow Restaurant in Glengarriff. All proceeds are in aid of the Bantry Inshore Search and Rescue Association.
