River Festival - traditional cot racing, rowing, canoeing, swimming and diving competitions. Also, novelty events, music and children's activities. Reputed to be Ireland’s oldest regatta this festival takes place on the River Barrow and includes over 20 events from an iron man contest to cot (traditional fishing boat) and swimming races and diving competitions. There is also live music in the local pubs and sporting events.
