In 2012 the Kilkenny Gospel Choir hosted their very first International Gospel Choir Festival. 2013 promises to be even better with gospel choirs from all over the world meeting in Kilkenny City to participate in workshops with renowned gospel choir directors and to participate in public performances throughout the county. This event allows for an expression of love of Gospel Music and also creates bonds between choirs who may never have had the possibility to meet. It also showcases how different cultures interpret Gospel Music
