The 31st Annual Donegal Fiddlers Weekend with Cairdeas na bhFidiléirí is a weekend of lessons, talks, a concert and informal sessions, with many of Donegal's finest fiddle players and other guests. The weekend begins on Friday evening with informal sessions in the Highlands Hotel, Glenties. Fiddle classes for various levels (but not absolute beginners) take place on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 11.30am to 1pm. There will also be a talk on a significant figure in Donegal's musical history on Saturday afternoon, followed by a concert at 9pm that night. The concert will feature players from both Donegal and further afield and will be a mix of young developing fiddle players and some of the more well established players. There will also be many informal sessions in the Highlands Hotel and in the surrounding pubs over the course of the weekend. See website for updates.
