Achill Storytelling Festival is a festival of storytelling events, drama workshops and activities. Unwind and enjoy your Autumn half term holiday in beautiful Achill Island. "Once upon a time..." is alive and well on Achill Island. This is an annual event that you won't want to miss! Held the last weekend in October, there is something for everyone, preschool to senior citizen, college students to families with children of all ages. The storytellers will capture your hearts and create an unforgettable experience in literacy, local culture and the arts. Its mission is to promote the art of storytelling on Achill Island and provide the opportunity for creative expression, enjoyment and pleasure through storytelling. Various daytime and evening events are held in venues throughout Achill Island.
