Race2Glory is a multi-sport adventure race involving cycling, running & river run. This event is a tough adventure race, which is a challenge for all, but is 'doable' for all levels of competitor. Begin with a 10K Mountain Run (steep ascent to 850ft, road/bog run, steep decent back to start); then a 23K Cycle (mixture of steep hills, gentle hills, arrive at transition 2); and finish with a 7K River Run (combination of road, river and country track). A total course distance of 40k. Competitors can expect a real West of Ireland welcome when they come to compete in this demanding race, and there are prizes to be won no matter where you finish in the race, there will be a welcome 'rub down' as well as a tasty barbecue for all finishers. Competitors in the last two stagings of the event have been very complimentary of the organisation and running of the event, with lots of entertainment for all the children during the race, many drink stations along the route, and loads of encouragement for all the athletes.
