National Circus Festival Ireland

Tralee

14 November 2013 - 17 November 2013

The National Circus Festival of Ireland, in association with Siamsa Tíre, is a fun-filled weekend packed with shows and workshops and features some of the world's best circus talent. The festival is one of one Ireland's most exciting emerging festivals and is a unique, national resource for the promotion and development of contemporary Circus Arts in Ireland. Hosted by Fanzini Productions, it is the national showcase for contemporary circus, attracting and featuring the talents of top national and international performers. National Circus Festival Ireland brings clowns, jugglers, acrobats, puppeteers, magicians, contortionists, street performers and comics to Tralee every November to thrill and amaze audiences. The town rocks to the sounds of laughter and lights up Tralee in the dark of winter. Check out the illuminated parade, or join the circus for a day, by participating in a kids' circus workshop. Adults can let their hair down at the bespoke festival club "Circus Sideshow," featuring circus performances and live music. At the heart of the festival, the Circus Siamsa show is the national showcase for contemporary circus and features a different line up each year of the top national and international circus performers. Sold out in 2011, this show continues to set the standard for contemporary circus performance in Ireland. 2013 dates to be confirmed.
