Tucked away on the northwest shores of the Shannon in the town of Carrick on Shannon, a unique, intimate and curious music, film and art festival will come to life over the October Bank Holiday weekend. Celebrating the unusual in audio and visual with acts from Ireland, the U.S, Europe the UK and beyond, focusing on experimental, psych, drone and other outer limits of art and music. Not just a boutique festival, but a gathering of individuals coming together to create a space of limitless sounds, visuals and thoughts. The festival also hosts workshops, talks, an art trail and an experimental short film cinema. Referred to by the Journal of Music as 'one of Ireland's most intriguing new festivals', 2013 will mark the third year of the Hunters Moon Festival. The performances take place in various venues across Carrick on Shannon and a visual arts trail will be dotted around the town's shop fronts. Dates to be confirmed.
