Dingle Tradfest is an energetic music festival focussing on all forms of Irish and folk music with a specific interest in fusion music. The inaugural festival in 2011 proved a rousing success with visiting musicians and businesses in the area delighted with event. Past artists at the festival include overseas acts such as KAN and Irish based artists such as Liam Ó Maonlaí, Niall Vallely, Donal Lunny, Karan Casey and Conal Ó Grada. Highlights of past events include the very successful themed session trail which filled the streets of Dingle with Irish music and encouraged quite a bit of dancing. This session trail will be an even bigger event during Dingle Tradfest 2013 as many Irish musicians living overseas are expected to come back for the Wanderer's Return Sessions. Adventure will again feature in the 2013 festival. Having reached the summit of Mount Brandon for a little session in 2011 and 2012 the 2013 festival hopes to take on another peak! With all this and more happening, Dingle Tradfest 2013 is sure to be bigger and better than ever! 2013 dates to be confirmed.
