Loughcrew Summer Solstice Festival is a unique festival to celebrate the Summer solstice, set within amazing surroundings that are overlooked by the Loughcrew hills and unspoiled Loughcrew Cairns. The perfect location to unwind and begin the summer festivities. Events include a live feed of events available to view at various locations; storytelling, involving the history of Loughcrew; mystery events in local pubs; family sandcastle building competition; children's music classes; line dancing; a country & western day at St. Oliver Plunkett's Church with music, dance & food; country & western themed nights in surrounding pubs in Oldcastle; and theatrical play & opera.
