The Mayo International Choral Festival will take place in Co Mayo from May 23 - 26 2013. The theme of the festival will be to allow choirs to meet with other choirs, to relax and enjoy a great weekend in the lovely West of Ireland. The festival involves competitive and non-competitive adult international choirs from all parts of the world, both male and female, travelling to Mayo to participate. The choirs will be accommodated and will perform all over Mayo. There will also be various workshops connected with choral performance. Local choirs will host and arrange concerts with visiting choirs for various charities at various concert venues, the schools and the regional college, and will sing at religious services varying from small local churches to the larger ones such as the Basilica in Knock.
