For many, this two-day meeting is the highlight of the pre-Christmas section of the National Hunt season. The meeting is kicked off by a card featuring the always-competitive Porterstown Handicap Chase, but the Sunday is the day that everyone looks forward to. Featuring no less than three Grade 1 races, the Hattons Grace Hurdle, Drinmore Novice Chase and The Royal Bond Novice Hurdle. The Hatton's Grace Hurdle has witnessed victories for Danoli, Large Action, Dorans Pride, Istabraq (twice) and three time winners, Limestone Lad and Solerina, while the Royal Bond Novice Hurdle has been won by the likes of Moscow Flyer, Hardy Eustace and Istabraq. Not to be outdone, the Drinmore Novice Chase has an even longer tradition and the likes of Sound Man, Dorans Pride, Le Coudray, Alexander Banquet and Sackville have all proved successful. It is a meeting that is always thrilling!
