Clancy's Bars Restaurant Catering & Liquid Lounge

Cork City

26 November 2009

Clancy's is one of Cork city's oldest pubs, dating back to 1824. Today, Clancy's bar and prime [with a small 'p!'] restaurant occupy 15-16 Princes Street, whilst the Liquid Lounge nightclub and the likely named Marlborough Room span straight through the city block at 29 -31 Marlborough Street. In the 1950s Clancy's lay solely on Princes Street, and was called Clancy's Bars. It boasted high-class wine & spirits and stout at its best, and was once owned by Vintner Jerry O Sullivan, who then passed it on to his son Dan. Clancy's is still an owner-operated establishment, with the current owner, Colin Ross, taking over in 1998. Clancy's was the first pub in Ireland to serve a hot lunch, and continues that fine tradition to this day. Clancy's bar now offers great food , live entertainment and a lively late-nite scene, so what are you waiting for? Visit for a pint, good, Irish food and a bit of craic! Group, early bird and set menus available. Java Republic fresh ground and full range of teas available. Free WiFi.
