Limerick City

The University of Derby Theatre Company will present Angela's Ashes: A Musical in Limerick in July 2013. First premiered in Derby, England in October 2012, the musical has extremely well received by audiences during its first run (including the members of the McCourt family). The originators are keen to bring the musical to its spiritual home and use the performances as a launch pad for bringing the musical to a wider audience. Limerick is so much part of this story, and it is our hope that it will bring a lot of audiences to the city for the performances.
