Inishowen International Folk Song & Ballad Seminar 2013 is a 4 day festival of traditional singing featuring performances, sessions, workshops and 1 day seminar on digital song resources. See local, national and international performers in a welcoming and open atmosphere. The villages of Ballyliffin and Clonmany in the Inishowen peninsula will host guests from Scotland, England, America and from across the island of Ireland as they share songs in performances, informal sessions and workshops. It will also feature a one day seminar on digital song resources with speakers from the Library of Congress USA, Tobar an Dualchais Scotland, Joe Heaney Archive Galway and the Inishowen Song Project. The weekend is an ideal opportunity to experience the richness and diversity of song traditions from across the world in a welcoming and open atmosphere. Dip in and out of sessions, enjoy the grand concert, join in debate or form a team for the song themed quiz, there will be something for singer, listener and visitor alike at this 2013 festival.
