The 25th Anniversary Sligo International Choral Festival is the second largest choral festival in the 32 counties. The event hopes to welcome back all previous prize winners, previous participants and overseas choirs, especially those with Irish diaspora connections. New competitions are being introduced to mark the 25th anniversary and friends, old and new, are invited to return to Sligo for The Gathering 2013. The festival will feature 16 competitions, €6,500 in prize money and many splendid trophies. Choirs will sing in concerts, competitions, in shopping centres, pubs, hotels and shops etc. Many choirs will also participate in the Sunday morning church services. Dates to be confirmed.
