Sligo Festival of Baroque Music

Sligo Town

28 September 2012 - 30 September 2012

Sligo Festival of Baroque Music has, over 17 years, established a reputation for musical excellence, artistic integrity and a really warm, informal atmosphere. Enjoy a weekend programme including concerts by performers of international repute as well as relatively unknown young professionals and workshops and masterclasses where young musicians can benefit from tuition given by performers of outstanding ability. The year 2012 is the 250th anniversary of the death of Francesco Geminiani, the Italian violinist and composer who lived and died in Ireland, and his music will feature in this year's programme. This festival is equally stimulating and enjoyable for the general music lover and the perio performance enthusiast so come along and immerse yourself in a weekend of baroque music.
