Fresh Film Festival is a national film festival for young film makers and audiences. The festival events take place around Ireland and include screenings (some accompanied by study guides), fora and workshops (both public and in-the-classroom). In 2013 the festival will focus on technology and international exchange. Central to the festival is Ireland's Young Filmmaker of the Year Awards for filmmakers aged 7 - 18 years. The closing date for receipt of entries is in January 2013 and the announcements will be made during the week of the festival at big award ceremonies hosted in Limerick. The 2013 festival hothouse group will convene during the festival and will decide on their project for the year. In 2013 Fresh is excited to host international delegates and young filmmakers from partner festivals around Europe.
