Soho Place

Add to My Ireland Newry Down - Northern Ireland

Soho Place is situated in the centre of Newry City overlooking the old Canal that for decades past was the heart of Newry. Two miles down the road, the canal enters Carlingford Lough and in the 19th and early 20th century, this was the gateway to the Americas. Many years ago, this area of canal was called Soho Place.

A few years ago the bar formally known as the Wander Inn was knocked down, making way for an up market fully licensed restaurant, which was renamed to Soho Place. The public bar has retained it s name of the Wander Inn.

You will find the menus offered are quite extensive, offering a wide choice to suit all tastes. Lunch is served daily in our downstairs lounge and upstairs restaurant and if you are lucky enough to book a window seat, you will be rewarded with spectacular views of the city. At night its even better with the city lit up, watching the hustle and bustle of people as they head out for the night.

For a city restaurant, we think you will be pleasantly surprised, as our prices are very competitive and are relatively inexpensive compared to other 'City' prices you may have experienced.

Our A. La. Carte runs 6 nights a week from Tuesday to Sunday and is a true eating experience; we pride ourselves on good food, service, presentation and value for money.
