The Clock Tower at the head of the Main Street is all that remains of the Old Parish Church, rebuilt by Pat Delaney DD, Rector in 1734. This monument is the best known symbol of Irvinestown and it is reported that a section of the Williamite army worshipped and quartered here while on their way to the Battle of the Boyne. The graveyard can still be seen with the oldest recorded gravestone being that of Hubert Holmes who died on 18th February 1694.
