Strickland's Glen in the residential area of Bangor West is an enchanting wooded glen which follows the Bryan's Burn, a bubbling stream which runs from Connor Park into Smelt Mill Bay.
It's shady tree lined walks take you along a series of ponds and waterfalls to one of the beautiful little coves which are dotted along the North Down Coastal Path.
Follow this pathway towards Bangor and walk along the old Landing Stage at the bottom of Brompton Road. The walls and turrets overlooking the jetty are the perimeter of Seacourt, former mansion of a Belfast Industrialist.
Access: approached by narrow Glen Road, off Bryansburn Roundabout.
Opening hours: Accessible at all times and car parking is available.
