- Directions from Town: On the main Belfast to Bangor Road (A2), near Holywood. We’re about 7 miles, or 15 minutes, east of Belfast City centre, and there’s easy access by road, rail and bus. George Best Belfast City Airport is also nearby. Parking: Whether you’re coming by car, minibus or coach, you’ll find lots of free parking. There are car parks at the Transport Museum, the Folk Museum and at Cultra Manor. A number of parking areas are set aside exclusively for persons with access needs. On event days we arrange additional car parking and transport.

Step back in time in and uncover a way of life from 100 years ago. Discover cottages, farms, schools and shops as you wander through the beautiful parkland of the Folk Museum chatting to costumed visitor guides demonstrating traditional crafts. Climb on and off majestic steam locomotives or experience the sensation of flight in the Transport Museum bursting with horse drawn carriages, electric trams, motorbikes, fire-engines and vintage cars.
