Ballinderry River

Cookstown Tyrone - Northern Ireland

Regarded by anglers as one of the best trout rivers in Ulster and is also good for salmon and dollaghan. Several sections of the river are under private or fishing club control, but the remainder can be fished freely. Canoeing is popular along the river and canoe steps have been built at several points to aid the sport's participants.

A game fishing rod licence and a permit are required. Permits may be obtained directly from the angling club or owner responsible for fishing the river. Day tickets are notexpensive, ranging from STG5.00 and up. Fishing tackle shops are within the area.
