This long sandy beach stretches approximately 1km along the bay and is relatively sheltered due to its location. The extensive dunes behind the beach lead in to the old Killybegs GAA pitch. There is one, very large car park. There are sufficient litter bins and the beach is cleaned on a regular basis, daily in the peak season. Lifeguards, or lifesaving equipment is provided to ensure response to an emergency anywhere on this Blue Flag beach. The Blue Flag for beaches is only valid during the bathing season.
