This delightful stone walled, thatched building, set among the drumlins of East Cavan in Cootehill is a charming location for a cultural tourism and business centre. Display boards and a superb 20 minute audio visual interpret the landscape and history of this area. One of the earliest Court Tombs in Ireland lies close by. A qualified tour guide can accompany a tour group to this site, where you can walk and view 600 years of Irish history. The Maudabawn Cultural Centre organises school visits and seminars on heritage related topics. Some themes include Exploring Our Heritage Among the Drumlins and weekend seminars on many historical themes usually incorporating a guided tour.
