Rathwood Home and Garden World in Tullow, County Carlow is the perfect location to avail of a tasty lunch, a homemade dessert, a shopping trip, and chance to treat the family. The gift shop, stocks the new antiques of tomorrow, along with impressive displays, featuring a large selection of unusual gift items. The garden centre stocks a range of attractive mosaic tables and matching chairs to suit any size patio. All weather garden furniture, gazebos and many more items, exclusive to Rathwood, are also stocked as well as an extensive range of top quality pots and unusual plants. The restaurant serves great coffee and excellent cakes, as well as savoury dishes cooked daily. The bird of prey centre holds approximately thirty birds, while children will love a wonderful twenty minute trip on the Rathwood train down through the woods, around the duck pond and back to the courtyard. The animal park and the adjacent woods are a great place for a stroll and a visit to the Chocolate Garden of Ireland is a must. The woodland walks project is the first of its kind in Ireland and is in partnership with Coillte and a local community group. Access to all walks, including a short wheelchair/child's buggy walk to a lake and a longer looped walk, is from the Rathwood carpark.
