A period of inactivity from 1901 to 1936 ended when the present course was opened. Since then it has become an integral part of the personality of the area. The eight-day Killarney races are a non-stop party and whether you’re a serious punter or just feel like getting swept away in the sheer enjoyment of it all, there’s something for everyone in Killarney.
