La Fougére is the award winning restaurant at Knockranny House Hotel. With table d'hôte, à la carte and tasting menus to choose from, La Fougère also holds regular themed events such as gourmet vegetarian weekends, the Taste Knockranny showcase of local produce, Seafood & Shellfish events and game nights in season. La Fougére has achieved two AA Rosettes for culinary excellence. Head Chef Seamus Commons who is at the helm delivering the finest in gourmet gastronomy time and time again has been widely recognised for his outstanding talent. Seamus has been awarded ‘Best Chef in Connaught’ by Food & Wine Magazine 2009 and ‘Best Chef in Mayo’ by the Restaurant Association of Ireland 2010. At the same awards, La Fougère was also awarded ‘Best Hotel Restaurant in Mayo’ 2010.
