- Other Information: Lifeguards: Lifeguards on duty from the 1st June - 31st August each year from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. On site facilities: 2 public toilets, 2 public car parks. Car park opening / closing times and charges: Park and Ride car park open all the time and is free. Parking in car park at South Beach is free and open all the time. Note parking fees are to be introduced this year. Regulations on dog restrictions: Dogs are allowed on beach but must be on a lead and under strict supervision of the owner. Owners must clean up after their dogs.

The South Beach in Greystones is about half a mile long. This follows on from the shingly North Beach at the harbour. The beach is easily accessible and is 2 minutes walk away from the railway station and car park. There is also a children's playground situated adjacent to the beach. Blue and Green Flag Beach Awards take place each year in early June.
