Saagar Indian restaurant. Founded in Mullingar in 1992 by Sunil and Meera Kumar, Saagar has gone from strength to strength and soon opened branches in Dublin and Athlone. In 1996 Saagar were in the good food guide and the 100 Best Restaurants Guide. In 1997 they were in the vegetarian guide, Jameson Food Guide and Egon Ronay. Saagar was named as the Sharwood Best Ethnic Restaurant for 1997, Egon Ronay Jameson Oriental Restaurant of the year 1997.
