International Quilt Festival of Ireland

International Quilt Festival of Ireland

Add to My Ireland Galway City Galway - Ireland West

The 2nd International Quilt Festival takes place this June in Galway City. This festival is completely outside the box in its design, as a traditional Irish Quilter's Village will be created especially for the event. As you walk around, you are sure to run into the village's very charming mayor and the town crier, who announces activities and events taking place throughout the day. You may even find Molly Malone pushing her cart and selling fat quarters! There will be specially chosen companies offering their goods and services, quilt workshops, medieval banquets and, of course, hundreds of beautiful quilts in uniquely designed exhibits. Some of these exhibits include actors, sets, music and even different aromas. All of your senses will be activated and your soul will be touched as you stroll from exhibit to exhibit. See website for details.
