Éigse Shéamais Ui MhaolchataighTipperary South - Ireland South
Éigse Shéamais Ui Mhaolchataigh is a celebration of the Irish language, traditions and culture as written and spoken in the Deise dialect, as found in the Sliabh gCua area of Waterford and Tipperary, and other cultural achievements of the area. The Deise dialect is now almost extinct. Nevertheless this part of Ireland produced a wealth of literature, music and educators. Each year this festival celebrates a different aspect of this culture. The main theme of 2013 will centre around the scientist Liam Looby.
