The Waterford Blaa

Waterford Harvest Food Festival

Add to My Ireland Waterford City Waterford - Ireland South

Waterford City is at the heart and soul of great Irish food and never more so than in September 2013 when the annual Harvest Festival celebrations take place. This family friendly food festival offers the perfect opportunity to discover and enjoy the story of real Irish food. With the strong combination of large scale food markets, tasting events, restaurant themed evenings where diners have the opportunity to meet with local producers and chefs - putting real faces behind the wonderful story of great Irish food, matched with entertainment and activities for families, as well as significant partner events such as the Grow It Yourself (GIY) Gathering, a food industry conference and expo, Waterford Harvest Festival is now one of the premiere food festivals in Europe. Harvest also seeks to celebrate the importance of Waterford's food heritage; from the home of the world famous Blaa, to the birthplace of the rasher and cream cracker, to the stories of Waterford port. Come find out what a red lead filled blaa is!
