Found near Timahoe in County Laois, Timogue Church is a unique house of worship that dates from the 1730s. The church features an early monument to Fitzgerald of Morette and other memorials to the Fitzgerald family. Nearby, visitors will also find two ring forts, a ruined mill, and the home of Kevin Higgins, who was a minister in the Free State government and was murdered in 1927.
