In Killarney Town in County Kerry, stands the statue of the 'Speir Bhean', the Beautiful Woman. It faces the Franciscan Friary and is a personification of Ireland sculptured by Seamus Murphy and erected in 1940. It commemorates Kerry's four best known Gaelic poets, Pierce Ferriter, Aogan O'Rahilly, Geoffrey O'Donoghue and Eoghan Rua O'Sullivan.
