Cloghan Castle is one of the few Medieval castles which is both lived in and offers open access to groups (minimum of 10 people). Bounded by the rivers Shannon and Little Brosna, it was originally a medieval O'Madden stronghold. Domestic quarters were added over the following centuries resulting in what is, today, an attractive architectural composition.
