This beautifully restored castle, of massive stone walls and crafted stout oak reconstruction, is a fine example of a 15th Century Irish keep or ' peel tower '. It is located overlooking the River Shannon, surrounded by peaceful, rural countryside. The region is renowned for its historic interests and is within easy access of the beautiful coastal areas of the Burren, Connemara and Kerry. Open all year round.
