- Directions: Buses from O'Connell St 13, 19, 19a getting off at Harts Cnr and along Finglas Rd to main gate. Buses from Parnell St 40, 40A getting off at gate.
- Booking: All enquiries and bookings can be made by e-mail or telephoning the Cemetery. Specialised tours may also be booked by arrangement with the tour guide.
- Students: All schools and colleges are encouraged to avail of the walking tour. At each graveside a short history of the person and the time in which they lived in is given. The age and knowledge of the participants dictate the level of the talk. Therefore booking by schools and colleges is essential.
- Opening Times: Tours of Glasnevin Cemetery take place at 2.30pm on Wednesday / Friday / Sunday. Cost is €5.00 and tickets can be purchased in the Flower Shop.

The tour visits the final resting place of Daniel O'Connell, Ireland's 'Liberator' from the penal laws; Michael Collins, Freedom Fighter and Minister for Finance in the first Dail; Eamon DeValera, 1916 veteran, 7 times Taoiseach, twice President; Charles Stewart Parnell, 'the uncrowned king of Ireland' agitator for Home Rule and leader of the Irish Parliamentary Party in the 1880's; Maud Gonne Mac Bride; revolutionary, muse to W.B. Yeats and mother of Sean McBride; Countess Marcievicz, 1916 veteran, lifelong republican; Brendan Behan, writer, republican, Dublin wit; and many of the other men and women who have shaped Ireland's history.
