Navan Racecourse

Add to My Ireland Navan Meath - Ireland East

Since its first meeting in 1920, the racecourse in Navan, has come on in leaps and bounds. Its fantastic course and challenging uphill finish continue to make Navan a strong contender in the Irish world of racing. Staging flat and jump racing, but more famous for the latter, it continues to attract some of the finest horses, riders and trainers in the country, not to mention the discerning punters. It offers just the right mix of events to keep things interesting. Family days out, ladies day and even a country and western evening in June. Perfect for a staff outing or just for kicking your heels up. For all this fun they take their racing very seriously in these parts and some serious names have raced here. Cheltenham winners Moscow Flyer, Brave Inca, Hardy Eustace, wonderful horses that have become household names. If all the action is making you feel really sporty, Navan also has a fantastic 18 hole 72 par championship golf course and a 12 bay floodlit driving range.
