Scarva Visitor Centre

Add to My Ireland Craigavon Armagh - Northern Ireland

Scarva Visitor Centre is located on the banks of the Canal adjacent to the original basin, which has been partially excavated and where vast quantities of coal were loaded for use in the local linen industry.

Interpretive boards within the Centre help to explain the building of the Canal, its trade and Scarva's role within this.

The highly acclaimed Tearooms are located within the Centre and serve as a place to relax after exertions on the Towpath or simply to enjoy the tranquillity of the canal side setting.

During the summer Sunday afternoon Band concerts take place making the centre an ideal place to spend an enjoyable afternoon.

Wheelchair access.
