Tour de Conamara Cycling Festival

Tour de Conamara is a cycling sportive with 140km and 80km route options starting and finishing in Clifden. The event will travel through some of the finest coastal and mountainous landscape in Ireland. Sign up before April 14 to receive a Tour de Conamara cycling gilet. Join cycling legend Bernard Hinault, 5 time winner of the Tour de France, who returns to take part on the route he described in 2012 as the best sportive route he has ridden on. On Sunday there will be a new addition to the calendar for sportive cyclists. A 40km team time trial challenge is designed to give sportive cyclists a chance to take part in a back to back cycling events, just like the pros. The Nos na Goaithe Team Time Trial is a fundraising event for Cancer Care West and there are a large of categories for teams to enter and give everyone has a chance to earn bragging rights. There is a strict limitation on the number of teams that can take part and priority will be given to participants of the Saturday events. A family Funathlon takes place in Carna on Sunday after the time trial with cycling, walking and family entertainment for all.
