Bonniconlon —County Mayo

Bonniconlon, alias Bunnyconnellan (Mhuine Chonallain) is a village on the R294 about 11 km from Ballina. It is situated in scenic surroundings near the Ox mountains. The area has a number of archaeological monuments, including a passage-tomb at Carrowreagh (the only one positively identified as such in Co. Mayo to date), and a prehistoric farm discovered under bog at Carrownaglogh, near the Glenree river.
